It’s about giving students Microsoft professional tools at no charge.DreamSpark provides professional-level developer and design tools to students and educators around the world at no charge. These Microsoft tools will help you advance your learning and skills through technical design, technology, math, science, and engineering activities.High Schools, Vocational and Trade Schools, Community Colleges, and Universities are all eligible to participate in the DreamSpark program.

Simply put, any accredited school around the world is eligible.Easy. In the top right-hand corner of the DreamSpark site, the Windows Live ID button and the site greeting indicate if you are signed in. If you are not signed in, the greeting is “Hello Guest” and the Windows Live ID button above displays as “Sign In”. 

A user whose student status has been confirmed by the verification source (usually a school, organization or commercial student identity provider) selected by the user on the DreamSpark Student Status Verification page.
 Each user has to be verified as a student before he or she can begin downloading the Microsoft software tools available on this site. We verify student status the first time you visit DreamSpark, and then once a year thereafter.
